Where It All Started
The Smile Experience was born during a time of transition and reflection.
After working as a contract trainer and instructional designer, Leslie Chapman found herself at a crossroads at the end of the pandemic. Like many, she began rethinking what truly mattered, not just professionally, but personally.
Returning to corporate America no longer felt aligned.
When she discovered 360 video booths, she saw more than a trend. She saw an opportunity to build something meaningful. Something centered around people, joy, and connection.
After extensive research and preparation, Leslie brought the idea to her husband, Keith. As a retired Army veteran, Keith values structure and stability, so the idea of starting a business came with some hesitation. But after seeing the vision and the intentional planning behind it, he fully supported the journey.
And just like that, Smile 360 VA was born.
Designed to Be Different
From the very beginning, we made a decision: every event would be treated as if it were our own.
We didn’t rush to launch. Instead, we spent months testing and refining everything, from lighting and camera quality to overlays and guest interaction, so that every detail felt intentional.
But what truly sets us apart is how we care for people.
We understand that stepping in front of a camera can feel intimidating. That’s why we guide, encourage, and engage every guest. We help them feel confident, relaxed, and excited to participate.

Together, Leslie and Keith blend creativity and precision to deliver a seamless and engaging experience. Their partnership is rooted in over 35 years of marriage, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to bringing ideas to life.
As a military family that has called Virginia home for over 20 years, they value community, connection, and service. When they’re not creating unforgettable event experiences, you can often find them working on DIY projects or giving back through their involvement in community and fraternal organizations.
